Melissa had just turned six and was known by her nickname of Missy back when she was taken by her father in August of 1981 and they disappeared. Missy has always been a daddy's girl and always will be. After her father was arrested and during the divorce, custody battle 1983, along with her brother, she let her feelings be known in chambers to Judge John Peavey Jr. and the three attorney's involved and therefore helped her father win permanent custody of them.
Melissa is now thirty-three and in management with a large home builder in Houston. She has won accolades for her abilities and for her work ethics. She lives in the Houston area, stays very busy with family, work and friends and yet finds the time almost daily to call her daddy and tell him how much she loves him.
